Bloodborne Pathogens

Deepen your understanding of bloodborne pathogens.

Description

The proper training in Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) is important for the safety of employees in all work categories. The need for BBP training is essential for employees who are constantly at risk of exposure to blood, fluids, or other contaminated materials that are known to cause illnesses, or even death.

This Bloodborne Pathogens training identifies the types of BBPs, BBP exposure, and the proper protection from exposure, how to dispose of contaminated or used materials, and what to do in the event of exposure. It’s important to know the ways in which infections can lead to exposure and transmission, and ways to prevent exposure through personal protective equipment and vaccinations. Deepen your understanding of bloodborne pathogens.

This course was created in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHAct) of 1970 and the OSHA regulations.
